I know things don't officially start until Satuday but I am arriving Friday early afternoon. Are there any informal get togethers scheduled? I have not been on the board for long so I don't know a lot of people yet but as suggested in other threads I don't want to just sit in the corner. I want to get out and meet and greet. What are my best bets.

hotel lobby 24/7

in other words open all hours, so u should have no problem bumping into a fellow member.

What Shak said and don't be shy.

<aside>There was a little supporters meet in London a few weeks ago, a member walked up and said "are you guys from WebmasterWorld?" Everybody got a little paranoid and asked "how did you know?", he replied "Its not often I walk into a Pub and hear a bunch of people talking about DMOZ". :)

Just get down there and jump right in - thats what everyone else will be doing! I imagine it will start far earlier than Friday afternoon - try Thursday morning onwards, and of course mingling in the lobby will go on for longer than Saturday!

See you there!

Sounds good. Can't wait to meet and greet. I think I land around 2pm on Friday.

I'll be arriving around the same time daisho and will wander down to the lobby to meet who might be there after I get myself settled. Of course I have no idea what anyone looks like so I'll be listening for geek speak. ;)

easy to discover, who is from WebmasterWorld:
if you see some people standing together, and some words like "google" are going from mouth to mouth, their look seems to be a bit paranoid...

no problem, like the others said.

I am getting in late Firday night... plan on wondering down to the hotel lobby/bar sometime around ten. Sure to find some people there I imagine, although by that time of night, I might be hearing drunken slurs about "gooble". :)

I arrive at about 7 on Friday to the Hotel and will be around the Lobby and Bar after a quick shower and change. Looking forward to meeting everyone!
