I emailed a link from the regular Webmaster forum to a friend and he gets the following message:

Status: Either we require login from users from your ISP because of abuse, or the thread is marked members only. Please login and then back up to view.

Any idea what's going on? He has never visited Webmasterworld...can't. He has Comcast.net cable modem service.

He needs to login in to the system.

There are several tiers of reading and posting. But first and foremost, becoming a member allows access to the majority of webmasterworld, and also means that the new member has read the TOS, and agree's and will abide by the system conditions of you'se.

Tell him to login.

There was a serious rogue bot attack from comcast last week and I made the decision to require all to log in from there until I feel it is safe to expose the system to that risk again.

So I guess he needs to go to the home page and set up a user and log in name?
