I am new to this forum, but I have been reading it for awhile and decided to join. There is a lot of information here. I lot of information to soak up. I have realized from only reading some of the information here that I have been doing all the wrong things. I have been on the net for about 8 months, with one portal site, one ebook site and tons of alliliate programs. On my ebook site and portal site I started just submitting my url to tons of search engines with no knowledge of the information I have read here. I don't know if it is to late to fix this site to make it search engine ready, but the useful information that members of this forum supply is great. I will keep reading and learning about real internet business and maybe someday I will be able to build a search engine ready website. Thanks for all the information and I look forward to my membership here.

newontheweb,

Welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com]!

Don't worry too much about "doing it wrong" - If your sites are not optimized or if you've got a few "spammy tricks" on them, then you're already seeing the results, and things probably won't get any worse. Just use the information you learn here to clean up/improve your sites, and you will see the results improve over time.

Rare indeed is the webmaster who doesn't learn something here!

Welcome to one of the worlds great community sites.

It is a huge uphill struggle learning how to do it right, but worth all the efforts I promise you.

Thank you JDMorgan, Paynt and Tony_Perry for those very encouraging words. And a special thanks for pointing me to the Welcome to Webmaster World! I will make sure I read all of that for starters. I am so amazed of all the things you can find on the internet and this is truly a valuable and rewarding finding. I had been so discouraged with my results on the internet after spending almost 8 to 14 hours a day promoting and not much results. Reading all this information will surely be worth the time spent. I have a bonus site for the month on my portal site and I would love to post this site for it is definetly a bonus site.

Thanks Shak, I was really beginning to think is anyone really making any money on the net? Finding this site gave me the answer and pointing me in the right direction.

Welcome newontheweb,

You will find that you will learn so much more interacting than lurking.

>>I was really beginning to think is anyone really making any money on the net?

No, nothing to see here move along. Nobody makes money online. Find a new profession. hehehe ;) Seriously though, I think a lot of us felt that way when we found WebmasterWorld.

Thanks everyone and thanks Marketing Guy for sending me to the insanity link. I know I am not alone. There is so much for me to learn here. I am really glad I did not stay on the outside looking in and decided to join the group.
