Netscape.fr just launch a new results page with screenshot for all URL. User can choose 3 views with or without screenshot and one more visual like image search.
Results are powered by Exalead, but anybody knows who is providing the thumbnails?

I'm not sure about where the thumbs come from, but [thumbshots.org...] could be the source as it's somehow related to the ODP and ODP is owned by Netscape.
The thumbnails come from Exalead.

Just to say : I love that. It's a really new way of navigating through the results. You can scan faster the results, you choose and clic without bad surprise.
Two sites say that it's the first time a major portal does thumbnails for each url. Seobook wrote "AOL France Launches Netscape Thumbshot Beta

Does it mean that competitors are going to follow the same way? As I know, there is nothing like that on Google Labs or on Yahoo! Why?
That's really strange.
Netscape.fr is not a very big audience, that's true. But they say also that they're going to launch it on AOL.fr. What will be the nest step? AOL.com?
