Hi - we've just set up a French website but we're struggling with submissions, SEO etc. Any help, recommendations, ideas would be much appreciated. Are there any good French SEO companies that are worth investigating? None of our team speak French - so we're starting right from scratch!

Thanks

That seems a very brave and difficult thing to do....

Hi adybee, welcome to WebmasterWorld.

Use the site search to find treads where French SEO have discussed. Most of the members posting are French, know French or live in countries where French is spoken.

If you are on the hunt for SEO suppliers, go post in the Commercial Exchange forum.

If you have any specfic questions, just post 'em right here in the Euro Forum :)

Agreed. VERY difficult to run a site in a language you don't know. How will you add content and interact with the users?

I understand what you mean about foreign language sites luckily we already have a wealth of content - over 500 pages of contextual information from a similar website - that can be translated and added to the website, so we're only limited by the amount of money we can spend on translation!

We have a series of standard email replies in french which our Customer Services Department can send. General enquiries - that's different we're looking to employ someone P/T to answer any queries - not ideal but we want to keep costs down, as we're not sure how successful the site will be yet. We already have german and spanish sites but have employed staff to reply.
