Maybe I'm blind, but I found nowhere how to apply for a listing. Do the have their own database, or do they get the results from elsewhere? Results for my industry seem a bit strange and outdated too...

pmkpmk, you have to go to the left column, a bit underneath the text box. There you will see a link named 'blitz listing' where you can enter your URL. But at the moment it seems to be down, so just try again later.

Blitzsuche.de is published by a german local newspaper (Rheinische Post / ndv publishing). The search engine is developed by tricus / Inventum, a German Search Solution Company but blitzsuche runs its own bot. Submissions to blitzsuche.de can be made here [urlsubmit.blitzsuche.net] and submissions to tricus can be made here [urlsubmit.tricus.net] ... both seem to be currently unavailable though. BTW, tricus partner with Qualigo.

The search quality isn't good for my industry neither at tricus nor at blitzbot and the only visits i had from them in the last months were a lot of bot visits - many of them using the tricus url as referer, ya know ... ;)

However, the visits stopped the same time i put them on my robots.txt, doh!

The search engine Tricus was sold several weeks ago. Its new owner wants to improve the engine with the help of the old development team. Perhaps results are getting better then.
