Lycos on Dutch radio

I heard a Lycos commercial on a Dutch radio station this morning. Don't know if this was new. Interesting to see if it increases their user base / referrals.

Well, it does make more sense than a TV ad, since many people listen to radio while surfing, but not too many watch TV.

I remember some search engine doing a lot of TV commercials in France some time ago (can't remember which though, goes to show how good the ads were).

Seriously, Lycos Europe has had it's second major network wide redesign launch lately, they have obviously a revised paid submission model in the works: there's still life in that old dog.

Taking into account the unclear financial and ownership situation at Lycos this is somewhat surprising.
