Getting hits from euroseek

I've been getting a few hits from euroseek recently. Had a look at them and don't recognise the results. They say they are powered by google, but they don't use google results. Anyone know where they pull them from?

It looks more like Inktomi results to me! - cant see where it says powered by Google.

Never ever had a hit from them as far as I recall though.

Sorry - never actually heard of them really - I think I have seen them before but look like small fry - the advertise link - links to a mailto href :( - not really professional if they are trying to be a contender IMO..

I've seen this one popping up as well lately. They use espotting results. They may use other results as well but after a few tests this week I can't find anything but espotting.

Actually re-looking at the results - they do look like Google - the sponsered results confused me - doh.

Quoting from their own company blurb

"Since the re-launch of Euroseek in April of 2002 by WeDirect, Inc., the European search portal has combined forces with companies such as Google, DMOZ, Intellicast and InterTran to offer users the most comprehensive and relevant search portal in Europe. Euroseek understands the internet e-conomy of today, and will work diligently to maintain its standards and availability in an ever shrinking world of search portal choice and availability"

The serps do not look anything close to Google!

Right click on one of the results and check properties - affiliate.espotting.com on all the ones I can find.

I get 100% Espotting. Which is INK in case there's no advertizer.
What I do not get however is hits. Not one, in weeks.

Lets just call it quits with Euroseek. It's been a short flare-up, now it's headed back to oblivion.

You can also go to espotting.com - on the frontpage Euroseek is listed as an affiliate partner.
