Hi all,

first of some actual data:

Search engines Visitors %

Google (keywords)37267,39
Yahoo! (keywords)11220,29
MSN (keywords) 5710,33

No many hits but a clear pattern does arise. Especaly given the nature of the web (a company dedicated to the fixing of movil phones)

This pattern is not reflected by the AIMC encuesta. Were if you remenber the data indicated the following for most popular SE:

google
yahoo
terra
altavista
lycos.

It must be stressed that the questioner asks for a preference of SE. And each particpent responded with an average of 2,3 SE´s. This ties in nicely with the unique visitor line of MSN against the number of total searchs of Google.

Terra uses lycos search engine which in turn is feed by FAST (now know as Alltheweb i think, please anybody feel free to correct me) and the reason for there high scoring was the way in which the questionare found its people. 65.9% of the respondants to the questionare clicked on a banner. And out of a total of 47,068 base, 6,928 clicked on a banner at terra.es portal. Humm I do not have to be a clever guy to see how this will effect the results at the time to remender which different SE they use! As a result of the way the base was captured the whole questionare has to be takenwith a pinch of salt.

My original figures at the top of the post are for real. Yes Google dominates. A lot.

Thanks, OddDog. Did I get that right, you have

39% Google
33% MSN
29% Yahoo

I agree on the value of those poll/surveys, results are pretty skewed.

Hey odddog,

I work for a web design company in Spain. I have found it hard to find reliable numbers for Spain, do you have any other numerical information - even stuff wrt browsers etc.

If it's at all off topic, send me a sticky..

Cheers!
