Overture.fr now on Voila & Wanadoo

Pulls them way ahead of espotting.fr

Just got an e-mail from overture announcing a deal with voila/wanadoo to show their results there. I'm seeing three "sponsored links" there already.
At the same time, I got a message saying my balance was low on overture.fr :(

Thanks Louponne. So they finally went live with the deal - been advertized on OV's page for quite some time.

Announcement was back in December:
[webmasterworld.com...]

Wanadoo is, similar to T-Online in Germany, the #1 web property in France. I wonder if also similar to T-Online, the referrals from there don't reflect that status at all.
In other words: How much is this deal worth in french traffic for Overture?

time to update the euro search engine chart...

Hi,

in my opinion it's quite heavy trafic for french users, as a lot of wanadoo users do use voila in first place before discovering google or other SE. Voila is in France number 2 or 3. But as your question is on reffering trafic i would say that other reffers are much better, on quantity and quality trafic.

Well, the barometre at 1ere-position.com gives 11,90% on position 3 for Voila. That's not bad, but is of course not nearly what a gorilla like wanadoo could provide.

Righto. As wanadoo is installed of course as home page for anyone using them as provider, most inexperienced wanadoo subscribers think that the *only* way to search the web is via voila/wanadoo. I have always found their SE quite inept, though - both in terms of the results it provides, and in terms of SEO for it.

Yes inept is a nice term .. ;-)... i think there are better SE's in france, like exalead, or antidot, (or even mine), and of course google.
