The directory with the largest number of sites is Akavita: www.akavita.kryvia.net
The terms of getting in it are the same.
WWW.zubr.com is another one so-so...
all others directories mentioned at [webmasterworld.com...] are sucks.
what about their properities?
all of them are hand-moderated and I don't think that the only SE (www.all.by) has a spider, persumably it uses for search only the words entered at the time of submission and the description entered manually..(
tha traffic is so low, that even mentioning it will make you laugh.(
It occurs to me, that with an online population of 10.000 and just over 1.000 hosts, there is actually shareware available complete with spider, that would create an index of all pages in .by. Perl based software of this kind would be a bit slow, but reliable and fully functional. Perhaps that is what all.by is using. I just tried it and it looks nice, with a search box and a directory. The speed was not that bad. I would put it down to telecommunications, rather than software.
