Hi, Germans!

Does someone of you know if sharelook.de is still active and accepting new free submissions or if they only accept paid listings now? I submitted some of our sites 6, 3 and again 1 month ago through the free submit form - nothing happend so far ...

Today i took a closer look to the site (sure, with JavaScript enabled ... hate this popup terrorism). Allthough the sponsored listings seem to be quite fresh, the rest of the site looks damn ole. P.e. no more press releases since 2000 ...

Any experiences with them?

Very very low key acttivity at sharelook I'd say.
They do take in paid incīlusion listings, and yes, they do Qualigo.
Since they have this Tiscali connection I was hoping for more to happen with sharelook. Especially now that Dino has shut down their catalogue...

I talked on phone to the managing director of sharelook a few weeks ago. I made him aware that I stopped using their paid inclusion program since they switched to dynamic pages in June 2002. (Before Google had many pages from sharelook in the SERPs, after that none.) I don't know whether my hint was helpfull, but now they have added static html-pages additional to the dynamic pages. And at least since the last Google update I can find pages from sharelook in Google that had been missing for several month. Therefore I think it's worth it to use their paid inclusion program again.<br>
Besides getting a higher PR there will not be any direct traffic from Sharelook: I have never found any visitor from sharelook in my log-files or in the log-files of my clients. In [webmasterworld.com...]
you can find statistics that show sharelook.de has as little as 0,1% of all searches in Germany.

Thanks, instand1, that's exactly what I was thinking about. I used to submit to them for the link only - traffic was never to be seen...
I searched for sharelook links but didn't have much luck.
So now they operate on dynamic plus static pages? You see how that's split - what is dynamic and what is static?

If you enter a word (e.g. "Suchwort")in the search field "Suche", you will get a page which looks like this:
[sharelook.de...]
but if you enter "Suchwort" in the search field of the google toolbar, and press the Site-Search button (not the Web-Search button!), you will be shown the static html-page, for exampe:
[sharelook.de...] (I have replaced the actual keyword and category name so you can not use the links in this example, it only an illustraion of the principle!)
