Evreka is starting to give me some traffic through english language searches, it is now beating alltheweb.com in search numbers which I found quite surprising given that both use the same database.

Is this traffic something that anyone else is experiencing?

We're talking about evreka.passagen.se, right Ian?

Well I'm not seeing many english searchers from there, but swedish, phew ;)

More seriously though, Evreka is major in Sweden and in the top 3 of most important engines, so I guess that the swedes also search english terms. I bet our resident swedes can tell you more!

Care to elaborate a bit on the nature om the search terms?

Yes Evreka is very popular in Sweden, i don't know but i would say probably the #2 after Google.

Altavista is #3 in Sweden.

Quite many swedish people do english searches on Evreka, they often get it wrong in a grammatic sence though.

Yes evreka.passagen.se is the SE. Terms are in a specific high tech field, but are definitely English and not just techspeak.

Nothing much to report here

A spot check on a consumer goods site that gets traffic from various european engines shows only one referral from Evreka over the last month.

Alltheweb gave me 15 for similar rankings and Altavista 79 for slightly worse rankings.

The site pulls 400+ unique visitors per day.

Don't know what any of this means though.
