Excite.de is back!

Revival with FAST/ODP

Following Excite.co.uk Tiscali now has opened Excite.de [excite.de], reviving the old internet brand.
It features a directory, which is the ODP of course, and a web search with FAST results. On top up to 5 PPC listings from Overture.de.

For the start Excite.de comes with a lean look - for a portal. Directory main cats on the front page - haven't seen that for quite a while.
All main items on the front page are search orientated - news search, pictures, videos, mp3 all from FAST, plus a special news search from some huge german newspapers.

Interesting - we'll see if it's more than just a space for placing ads for Tiscali ISP services.

All "new" excite used the "Sneak a peek" function on the results, like Wisenut.

I saw up to 20 !
try with "reisen" , it seems they collect all the overture listings present for a keyword. Really a strange deal between OV.de and Tisc oops Excite.de !
