Submission problems on foreign language SEs

I've found it very difficult to add urls to foreign language engines (finding a submission page) Anyone have any tricks? Especially languages not based on latin like Flemish and Czech

Creep, Czech is extremely close to latin. True we have a variant alphabet, but they only form the sound of the word. Google gobbles up Czech sites like mad. They always do really well.

This is a problem the independent webmaster targeting foreign languages will have to face quite regularly.
What I do when I just don´t have a clue is I try the known online translation tools. For the major languages this usually works. But as you said some languages are problematic. Online dictionaries, as opposed to online website translators, cover more languages.

IMHO you need to know the language to be succesfull. I'll be glad to help you in danish, german and french (english of course)

keep battering away at it...I use a few online translation tools...though I always did French, and Italian without...I can now cope with Spanish, Danish, Dutch, German and Portuguese on my own

even with translation tools it took me a while to get the hang of submitting in Chinese...after a year I'm OK with that too...just Finnish and Hungarian that I still struggle with

true if you are going for directories and need to put up a description. But even in SEs you´ll have to identify the page and then the box where you can add your url.
I remember I once tried to add a page to a russian engine - it was more wild guesswork than anything. But to my surprise I later found some referrals in my logs!

Anyhow, if it´s an important submission (aren´t they all important...?) it might be an idea to contact the SE just sending an email in English. Adding an important looking signature, talking about first steps to enter the local market...

Eric_Jarvis i can help you in hungarian, or anyone else. imho someone should collect the add url phrase in diffrent languages (good old Rencke left..:(

This baffled me - such a simple solution to such a daunting task...? Never even thought about it. Tried it for a russian and a czech site - bingo!
