Please welcome not one, but Two new moderators to webmasterworld.

If you've read here for anything length of time, you know that Heini and Rumbas have been constand contributors to the European forum. Both are experienced web pro's and know the european search engine scene well. Thanks for joing us!

I agree that Rumbas and heini are a great choice for contributing to this forum. I was already very impressed by the contributions that rencke made to it. Now, with Rumbas and heini joining the team we will have an even more better forum. Europe is multicultural continent, that is very hard to cover as a single entity.

WmW just became better! Congratulations to you both, wish you sucess and good luck!

Sorry to be so embarrassingly late in arriving to the scene, but I have been moving my office today and have not had telecommunications all day, except for a couple of minutes this afternoon, and now from home.

I am extremely happy with Brett's choice of new moderators for the European forum. As you all know, Heini and Rumbas have shown great community spirit and been wonderfully helpful to all members who have ventured into this corner of WebmasterWorld. They will definitely bring this forum to new heights, no question about it.

When I set out a year ago to map the European SE scene, I decided to go about it methodically as evidenced by the individual country discussions and various summaries. During the past year, hundreds of members from 30 nations have contributed bits and pieces of useful information. They are summarized in the WebmasterWorld's 3rd quarterly European SEO strategy primer [webmasterworld.com], which can be said to encompass everything known to date and probably almost all needed for a winning SEO strategy in Europe. I do believe that it should be able to last as a first class strategy handbook for a year, with only smaller updates. Perhaps even longer.

So the feeling of having finished the job has begun to prey on my mind. So has the feeling that the forum will need a new direction, different from the one I have been able to provide.

When an incredible business opportunity turned up four weeks ago, I sized upon it and now find myself the CEO and part owner of a travel company with a staff of 11 which will soon take over a $7 mill/year business of another company (which I happened to found in 1980 and ran for 12 years), shortly to be liquidated. Breathing life into this new organization is taking up every minute of my time and will keep doing so for the next six months. That is why I have asked Brett to replace me as moderator.

I am not saying good-bye just yet - I want to see Heini and Rumbas settled in first - but this will serve as fair warning that it will soon happen.

Anyway, best of luck Heini and Rumbas. I know you will do us all proud.

- Jan

Okay folks, now we have the not so good news also. That is, not so good for us yet wonderful for you, Jan.
Anyhow, itīs time to say thank you, or rather
THANK YOU
Itīs gigantic what you have created here. You really put Europe on webmaster-world`s landscape.
You left some really huge footsteps for us to fit in. But there is a saying about how dwarfes sitting on giants shoulders can look further.. or something along the line.
And if you feel we mess it up, just come on in and give us a solid kick in the a**, okay? :)

Jan Rencke,

I am glad to hear of your well deserved retirement conditions. Hope you will still be around to provide us with all precious informations and tools, if you feel like it.

From the bottom of my heart, please keep in touch with us.

The very generous nature of your contributions left a mark here.

Thank you very much Jan.
