Anyone out there know where MSN.no take their results from?

Hi

I'm not big on european Se's (I come from the UK :) ) but MSN.co.uk gets results from Direct hit/looksmart.co.uk / ink.

So I would presume Direct hit & ink, but I don't know which Looksmart you would submit to as there doesn’t appear be a looksmart.no.
but having a .no domain will help your rankings with MSN.no

Checked out the same search in msn.no and msn.co.uk The results were almost the same, so I think what Tigger says is what it is. I do believe that they have their very own small but man made directory though. The top result I got from the directory contained a description in Norwegian for a site that does not offer Norwegian as a language option, so I think MSN did that themselves.

I just tried a k-phrase in msn.no and it brought up my uk listing, rather than my us listing

So as far as i can tell no is the ame as uk

I agree, they show directory listings first "WEB-KATALOGOMRÅDER" and secondary "WEB-SIDER".
For sure a combination of Looksmart, DirectHit and Inktomi.
