Altavista closing offices in Netherlands and Sweden

Beginning of the end or end of the beginning?

Interesting. I don't know about Netherlands, but in Sweden Altavista has held the top spot among the search engines ever since they started. An AV person told me that they had a bigger market share in Sweden than anywhere else including the US. And now, they can't make a go of it anymore...

This leaves four European offices remaining: the UK, Germany, France and Italy. Where will it end?

So, so they are only cutting back on costs.

Wonder if they are closing down the sales office as well? Yahoo has not.
