Hmmmm.... Hot off the presses. Release dated today, March 16. So how could Wisser know about it on March 10 and post it here [webmasterworld.com]? A bit off topic - that's why you haven't seen it - but under provocation from me to come up with some good news. I wonder if he has been on an undercover assignment at Fast HQ? Very interesting....

Ahhh. I knew I saw something about it somewhere here but couldn't find it. Looked thru the part 2 and 3..didn't think about the 1st. Thanks

Well if he is a FAST insider just hope he keeps up the postings :)

Just checked some log files today and only received one hit from a top FAST position listed in Web.de's world-wide search. That's a big surprise from such a "popular" search engine. I imagine this has to do with them not easily allowing those to select the worldwide search off the main page. So most users are just going to hit the main box and not the advanced one.

For the same search term I receive A LOT more hits from kvasir.no and evreka.passagen.se.

From what I see web.de doesn't seem like a heavy hitter in worldwide SERPs from FAST.

Here are my findings from an internation search term that is listed well in Non-Lycos FAST partners.

#1 evreka.passagen.se
#2 sympatico.ca
#3 kvasir.no
#4 verden.jubii.dk
the rest have hits that are too small to list.

I'm still checking Lycos so I'll post something later on.

sorry, bad news again. I'm neither a FAST nor a WEB.de insider. They have released this information earlier. Before I did post it here I searched WEB.de on March 10th and got a FAST Logo with my results.

msgraph: Have you noticed how these undercover agents always seem to have a perfect explanation for everything? ;)

Thanks wisser. Brett likes it when WmW has news before anybody else, so I think you have earned some brownie points for good scouting.

Okay,
I would get the prize:
as I posted on the 6th of march in this thread [webmasterworld.com] about the FAST-Dance-Card:
>>Since the 19th of february FAST supplies the international-search at Web.de, a german directory. Former it has been Altavista.de<<

My mistake to forget to post it into the European-Search-Engines-Froum, and thatīs why I couldnīt get the prize...;-(

Wow you were way ahead of the game oLeon. I guess FAST is really late on posting their press releases. Good find!

Rencke owes you the prize on this one.

Aha! So you are the real undercover agent. OK. The prize goes to you, oLeon. You have won free postage stamps to mail your application for a job at Fast's PR department. Don't hesitate. They really need good people there.

Web.de is pretty good player here. Although I am not the primary on the gdr sites, I do get to see the data (the fun part). Thanks for the info guys.
