What Directory does AOL Use?

If you read the instructions for submitting a site at AOL they clearly state that you submit it to the ODP directory. But the search results list my sites as they appear in Zeal, not ODP.

AOL is in the middle of (or about to have) significant changes.

AOL/Time Warner own the ODP & ODP is the basis of AOL's directory. The AOL search engine results are currently provided by Inktomi which uses LookSmart descriptions which uses Zeal descriptions.

AOL is switching to Google powered results sometime this summer so alot will change soon.

Thanks for the input. Sometimes I think I should create a very simple webpage that lists all the major search engines (maybe top 12, no more) and where they get their data.

I already have one of sorts. I have created a huge Favorites folder with entries to search for my websites in the major search engines... with annotations about where they get their data.

That's why I posted... something seemed wrong.
