Position / description the same, but appears in one and not in the other

I have a site that has a description from days of old and its purpose has now changed. It has a dmoz description, that also appears in google, and the category positions are identical.

However, because it has now changed in its product offering, I need to change the description. So I type the name of the site into dmoz and it brings back the site, plus its category position (identical to the google directory position I might add).

However, despite the fact that dmoz says its in there, its not! It is in google, but not in dmoz. Does this mean that actually they've found the site doesn't match what it says so is now outed? Surely they would just have changed the description?

And anyway, if they have removed it, why is it still referring to it as being in that position and there from the search box?

Help much appreciated

Nothing is in realtime. ODP re-indexes the site fairly infrequently, sometimes once a week or more. Google upates their index even less frequently.

So, if your site was moved or removed very recently, it would still show on both Google and an ODP search, but it will not actually be listed in the category.
