Still looks pretty small and probably won't generate significant traffic any time soon, but you can check it out here [netinsert.com]

Interesting, except you have to insert a proprietry metatag into your page source code. Not as invasive as others we have seen, but I just wonder if it is at all necessary.

It also flags your site as being included in this directory which is information what could be used by anyone for any reason. General Metatags are OK, but specific ones? Hmmm.....

Also, the Logo looks remarkebly reminicsent...

It is VERY small. I did ten searches and came up "0" on all of them. They have left out at least half of the Caribbean in their index structure and I don't like the idea of adding a special tag just for them.

They also intend to list all submissions in the order they are rec'd. In other words, it seems they don't have an algorithm of any kind. Doesn't make much sense to me. Since there are no human editors and you can put watever you want in the meta tag ... seems to me they will be spammed PDQ.

Think I'll wait a bit.

Just love the way England has only one subcat - London.

well it is early days folks, I am sure the categories will grow as does the database. Working out the Category Structure can be one of the hardest parts of building a directory, and it is better to build as you go rather than make mistakes you will regret later.

I think the "directory specific tag" is the main obstacle at the moment.

> directory specific

Im not 100% sure, i didnt look too deep into it, but surely if you submit a new site you could use a "geographic ID" where Europe = E etc, and people would be able to submit their sites under what they think should be a new category

E-DI-01 The first european dictionary in the database ;)

Im in the process of making one myself (content specific), but I will be completing the directory structure before I add any sites and they will be approved by me yours truly ;)
