You may find it interesting that [canada.looksmart.com ], uses AV. It would appear that the country specific versions of LS are able to use who ever they want to.

It appears they are run as separate entities. I looked for quite awhile yesterday and couldn't find any info out about it. There is some info about the BT<->Looksmart deal, but nothing specific about Canada.
