ODP links to Google Directory

Follow the bouncing green ball

ODP has started linking from its category pages to corresponding Google Directory pages. The small green ball on the bottom right of the ODP page has the link.

One value of this is to allow someone to view the listings in Google PageRank order instead of ODP's alphabetical order.

Thank you for the tip.

Not all the directories have the green ball.

Does it mean we should concentrate mainly to the green ball labeled directories?

I really wish they would get rid of all that stuff. It's like the Usenet links - just line noise.

On the other hand, if that's what it takes to keep Google using the ODP, then it's a good reciprocation.

angiolo: all categories will get the ball once they have updated. If by "concentrate" on those categories you mean only submit to them, then no, you should find the most relevant place to submit to.
