I am trying to get my ODP listing updated with no success. I have to be honest and say that I have made some mistakes such as trying to submit an additional url from my site some time ago this was partly from poor advise but mainly pure frustration at getting no reply from my submission change requests or emails to editors. Below is what I sent to the last editor who actually replied saying that he would look at my request, since then I have heard nothing despite enquiring politely as to if he had had the time to consider my request..

--Thanks for replying. I am up against a brickwall here, is it possible to get the url changed on that entry. The majority of our business is to customers in the UK and we have found the .com seems to put some people off. Also 95% of our sales are now ***, ***** and **** our ODP description shows *****, *****, ***** wear etc which is basically summed up with the words **** wear. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and when I made that submission over 1 year ago I was totally new to this.

I have tried many times to use the update forms, have left a reasonable length of time between retries, I have contacted the editor of that category with a polite request to no avail, indeed you are the first person who has ever replied

I am in the process of changing our many entries on the web relating to the .com to the new url, if you could assist me even with just the url this would be very much appreciated--

Anyone have any suggestions because I am at a loss as to how to proceed with this

If it is any consolation I have similar problems.

Simply e-mail the next editor up the hierarchy in other words if a site were listed in Business/Widgets/Whatever and I was having noo luck with updating the site with the editor in Whatever I'd feedback the editor in Widgets, if I got no response I'd email the editor in Business. You'll eventually get a response from a senior editor.

However, I'd like to add that 2 months isn't that long, I've made similar requests with Yahoo! that have taken over a year to complete and because we're in the middle of robozilla run, where we are checking for dead links it may take a bit, so have patience.

basically, what brownsmurf said.

You might also find this thread [webmasterworld.com] useful, as I guess it deals at least partially with your question.
