Not so Open Directory!

HI,
Is it just me or is ODP completely out of wack today? I'm doing searches for words that definitely have their own categories i.e online shopping, and Arts: Comics: Retailers is coming up. Shouldn't I be getting a shopping category in Business? Its seems like most of my results are only showing sub-categories in the Arts and World groups. I checked 20-30 URLs yesterday that were in the directory, now many of them are not showing. Any ideas?

Appears a little reorganization was done in the commercial categories. I found many of our listing now under retailers. Here is comics [dmoz.org].

I found that on Sunday - virtually all my search results dropped, even searching on a keyword that's in the url and a title on every page didn't bring it up - or another bigger/older company of the same name. The results were highly 'unrelevant'. That url is still listed but some have been dropped (or moved - haven't checked yet)

The entire ODP is not "completely out of wack" but rather just the search function. There is a intermittent problem and at times it is only producing search results from the arts hierarchy. I understand it is being worked on.

I've never been able to figure out how to
submit a site to ODP. I've hunted around on there for hours.
Is that how they keep it weeded out?

try trhis, do a search, if it's the correct category and listing click on the add URL link at the top of the page, fill out form.

There is a bug in the system that is being worked on. Stay tuned for your normal scheduled categories and sites. ;)

Lizzie, to submit a site, simply go to the category that you wish to submit to and look in the top right corner of your screen. There should be a add url link. I hope that I am answering your question.
