Unable to fork sendmail ?

Three times over the past week, I've tried to apply to become an editor for a small dmoz category, but when I submit the information, I get a screen with this:

Unable to fork sendmail

There was a problem with your form:

There has been a failure in processing your form. We will work on
it, we hope to have it up soon.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Please go back in your browser and resubmit the form.

Nobody can apply until a serious server problem is fixed. Wait a while, try again, repeat until it works.

By a "while", do you mean a few hours or a few weeks?

It's been like a week or two already, and it is unknown when this feature will be working correctly again.

I suggest trying once or twice a week, at most.

Sounds like Microsoft has infiltrated the back end of ODP.
