NBCI offers a software download from their site that allows many words displayed on your browser to have a virtual hyperlink to a source of more information.

This might become popular because I saw NBCI running a big ad blitz on this free download on television last night.

Has anyone looked at this thing close enough to tell if they are running the keywords against an existing search engine or directory, or is this something entirely new?
