Hallo,

we have launched a new search engine today. I would appreciate if you review it and post us your comments (either here or via e-mail). I'll try to answer all your questions.

It is focused on relevance of results and clear design. Hope you'll like.

Michal Illich

PS: It seems that this is the most relevant forum here...

The URL is

[spidera.org...]

(if it is not clear from the first post)

not bad at all. Nice and clean design and decent speed for the returns. The only thing that I find rather annoying is the lack of an actual URL in the search results. I have to hover over the result to see the url show up in the browser (bottom of window). I like to see the URLs because I can generally determine some level of quality based the address. ie: geocities vs. a real domain.

Hey, did you get that name from the Thundercats? You remember the Thundercats cartoon.. One of the enemies was Spydera. She had this huge cave full of webs. They called it Spydera's Web. Great cartoon...

I have added URL to the results page today. It seems to be a good idea (and all engines do it...)
I also programmed a new feature: Spidera now displays "Fastest results" - so you do not need to wait more than 1 second.

Well, I didn't know about Spydera character in Thundercats until you told me. We just wanted to have a nice, short name. (but someone registered it in .com domain :( )

[dmoz.org...] says:

We are doing that. On the bottom of every Category, we have HTML code from dmoz.org site (exactly as they want it).
Or did you mean something different?

Yes, sorry, that is what I meant. I just wasn't sure if it's required for you to have that block of code on your front page as well.
