Hi everybody
Do you think useful for a web (in order to improve the position in Google) to be indexed in a number of directories? Could it be unadvisable?

I get a decent amount of traffic from directories so I don't care whether google likes it or not. I like the traffic.

Hi,

I suppose, it always best to start with dmoz.org & yahoo & other FREE/Paid/Niche directories & so on...

Well, I think the niche directories that operate in the most specific niches are good and those which SE like most.

Well, I think the niche directories that operate in the most specific niches are good and those which SE like most.

That is not entirely accurate. SEs like directories that properly categorize the listings. If a general directory continues to build the categories and make the categories very specific there's no difference between a niche or general directory to the SE.
