i'm going to install new version of Barracuda Directory Script 1.1
it seems to be good,, but i need feedbacks about the script!
is it worth to use the script?
share your opinion, if you got some experience.

I tried to use this script once, but I had to seriously modify it heavily to conform to my purposes. After all the work modding, I found that when you click on each link created with the script, instead of just fetching the address straight from the db and redirecting to that URL, there is a function that lays in between that passes something to a certain procedure that resides in the script developer's server. I do not exactly know what that procedure does but when I tried to bypass it to redirect straight to the target URL, some of the directory's internal tracking routines, like counting clicks and popularity measure, failed to work.

Iam no PHP expert. Maybe my modding did break the script or something. But that external procedure is kinda creepy to me. So I gave up on it and just wrote my own in ASP.

By the way, this happened in version 1.0 of the script. Version 1.1 is now out, but I have yet to try this version.
