Dates on ODP inclusions?

Is there a way to find out when a particular page was added?

Hi everyone. I just got another page in the ODP - but I don't know which one! I just noticed that the number of results for my URL has been increased by one. I do submit pages fairly often, and I've started keeping track of when I submit what. In this case though I really don't know which of the pages has been added. Is there a way to tell from a listing whether or not it's new?

Hi ajsinclair,

Good question. Due to the nature of your site, it is likely to get deeplinked listings from editors adding them independently of your efforts. So the added page may not have even been one you submitted.

There is no advanced search option for date added on ODP. At this point, you would have to check manually and keep a running total on your own. You might be able to narrow it down by searching for specific domains strings like www.moreover vs. w.moreover. And the more often you check, the more likely your eyes will catch new entries.

You can also check your server logs for referring urls that include "dmoz.org/editors" - this will let you know if an editor has visited the page.

Hope this helps.

tedres,

Thanks. Your probably right that it's more the independent actions of the editors rather than my submissions. I think actually the page that was added was for Iran news - and I know I haven't submitted that one recently.
