Looksmart enters the vertical marketplace

Is this a last attempt to redeem themselves?

After visiting Looksmart's new site, I noticed they have several new vertical engines.

In addition to Furl, they have:

24HourScholar - Full-time study

GoBelle - Moms on the go

GradeWinner - Great grades

ParentSurf - Online parenting

Teenja - Teen site

Is this a real effort to provide decent services? Is it a money maker? Or are they trying to redeem themselves?

A couple of the sites look okayish in design, and the Gradewinner one has a ton of info on it.

They added five more since your post and a product called Filtersurf.

Lumiverse
Ourbigcountry
Zinkle
Dynomind
ZoeticZone (my kid's new fav.)

Maybe they are turning things around although these vertical sites are not high end and seem to be tied only to Findarticles.com.
The stock sucks.......

hmmmm, maybe their game plan isn't to concentrate on high end.

Me thinks they are making a move on the vertical marketplace? They are here........
