At that time, we will switch from a flat fee to an automated real-time auction where all sites listed will have the opportunity to bid for a spot. The market then decides how much a hot spot is worth in each category, boosting our revenues each month as traffic compiles.

Of course they are going to be accurate seeing as how much they want each month. Scientific... Who wants to pay the most gets top slot!
Intersting concept in that they sell you your placement for the month instead of real time like other PPC's.
OK, who wants to give them $500 upfront for possible traffic?
