I was wondering if (DMOZ, Musicmoz, Chefmoz) owns the script for their links management. Is there a way to purchase the script?

Are there any scripts that have a category and link manager that is Dmoz style? I would like one on my website in a similar way in order to manage my links. Thanks.

There have been ongoing discussions about making the ODP software "open source". It hasn't happened yet (doing something like that out of a large company is not a quick process), so you'll need to look elsewhere for scripts. There are scripts available commercially -- someone will point you to them, I'm sure...

I just installed the new version of gossamer threads. While I've not tested it, it looks like they allow you to assign category specific editors -- something that is missing from a lot of the commercial packages.

The hyperseek/jackhammer software lets you organize like DMOZ and editors can be restricted to directories.

If you have the option and resources to develop your own script, that will be the preferred route to take.

a search in hotscripts dot com for scripts will yield many results . you can choose the simplest one and work on it to fit your requirements .
