ODP - removed or not?

Site appearing in search, not in category

I noticed my site is not appearing in category it was published in for about a year now.
It appears when I type site name in DMOZ search, showing category next to search result - but when I check in actual category - it's not there. I also noted it's still showing in category in question on google directory.
I was about to resubmit one 3rd level domain of my site to more appropriate category (site is in general region category - I would like to have this 3rd level domain in appropriate business category).
What to do?

Have you tried asking either or both your questions at the ODP public forum? They can tell you the precise status of those listings; at WebmasterWorld we can only guess.

A site no longer appearing in a directory does not necessarily mean it has been removed; it may have been forwarded to a more appropriate category or temporarily "unreviewed" because it was returning error messages. Also, the processes behind the adding of a site to the directory's database, updating the public pages to display that listing, and appearing in the dmoz.org search engine are independent; one may be ahead of or behind the others. I will note, however, that ODP looks askance at multiple listings or deeplinks for the vast majority of businesses (e.g. non-Fortune 1000 companies).

Lots of the dmoz pages are reverting to very ancient versions right now, well over a year old. That is probably your problem if you just noticed it in the past two days. Refresh the page a bunch of times, and check the date at the bottom. If it shows a very old one, there's the problem. Nothing to do about that.

There's a known issue right now with pages appearing out of date. See the notice in the public forum.

Thank you for your attention and suggestions. I'm sorry if the question may be more appropriate to DMOZ forum instead, I'm simply used to this one - and again - it proved helpful. It seems to be a problem of old pages. Few refreshes got my listing back on my screen. Happy to have my listing still there.
Funny thing is that all my SEO is 'white hat' stuff, sites I'm caring about are not dealing with affiliate programs and stuff but are official sites of companies selling their own products or providing services. Still I'm shaking not to get dropped from listings or struggling to get them listed into really appropriate categories. SEO is funny business these days.
