won't list my websites

I have two sites that I built over two years ago. I have tried over and over to get listed in the open directory project but can not get listed. What is the deal with these people? without being listed on their directory aol search and google will not list my sites. I know they use editors for their listings but for some reason these people have decided not to my site. Is there anyone I can contact there to find out what's going on? Or does anybody have any advice on getting listed?

No humans are involved in the activation process. You sign up, it sends an email if it can (assuming you typed in your email correctly, your email server/provider isn't acting up at the time, your inbox isn't full, it isn't getting tagged as spam and being deleted unread, etc.) that you reply to. It's all automatic.

Still the same,
Thanks, but i doubt its an email issue as ive got no reply with the last email months ago either and it was a different server.

This is still what i get, lets me login but when i try to post

(membername)...you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

You could sticky mail me your account info here and I could take a look. If it's letting you log in then I'm assuming that the account is active. Are you maybe trying to access the Adult forum? There is a separate password for the Adult forum that you need to request. Let me know.

So i tried using another email but I get the same result.
I did submit to another category or 2 at one point but i thought i qualified because of the nature of the site, I think then I tried to consult a mod but I also lost all records in a virus infection and have been through 3 hard drives since as i was spammed up the yin yan with virus laden emails to the point any correspondence i might have got then might have been lost in the spam shuffle.
To be fair to DMOZ I also was so new then that i had a scrolling marquee stuffed with news and commentary, some of which covered contoversial and sensitive topics, on the bottom of entertainmnmet pages.
The nets pretty new still,I would have thought there must be thousands of newbie webdesigners making all kinds of errors in judgment going through this exact same thing so youd think theyd be more forgiving. At least review my site again and explain who removed me and exactly why.
Entering discouraged zone :(

I had the same problem: six months, and still not in the ODP directory.

I sent a very polite email to the two editors in my category, explaining that I understood that they were overwhelmed with sites to review, but asking when I might see the site in the directory.

Two days later, there it was!
