Your thread caught my eye. I wrote my own software to run my directory site. There are many different ways of comparing directory software features.

Can you elaborate on what features you're looking for in directory software. I'm not trying to sell anything, just curious as to what features you consider to be most desirable.

I am looking for something that would be able to with stand over 1 million listing without any slow down.

It depends what your directory's model is going to be. Sometimes off the shelf works perfect, and sometimes custom is not worth the time and cost. Depends.
