ODP listed but not found when searched

Hi All,

I have submitted a site to ODP, 10 days later editor visited, subsequently my site is listed in my selected cat. But when searched in ODP directory, my site can't be found.
(this might have complicated the matter: after submitted I found mistakes on my site: broken links, even on home page, I quickly corrected them)

Any idea whether my site is accepted or rejected?

If your site is listed on the category page it has been accepted. The search function of the dmoz site is a secondary feature; the search database is not updated in real time. Anyway any on-site content of your site does not have any influence on the ODP search; the dmoz search searchs only inside published title, published description and URL.

Another way to look at is that DMOZ is not a search engine, its a Directory. Search engines are for searching and Directories are for browsing. The DMOZ search is better for findng categories to browse on a topic than finding an individual site.
