Forum Moderators: open
We are not the ODP help desk. Any specific questions about sites should be taken up through proper ODP channels. We are not affiliated with them, and we have no power to fix them when they go down or change their policies. While it is sometimes appropriate to discuss ODP's policies, please keep in mind that we encourage constructive discussion, and if the discussion turns into "they fired me and I don't know why," it is no longer approprate for this forum and will be removed or edited.
Although you might think that it is not necessary for us to mention this in this charter, it does bear repeating: Please be civil to one another. Posts which serve no informational purpose and only insult or belittle other members will be seen as flaming and/or trolling and will be removed.
Above all, please be respectful of other members and refrain from insulting individuals or entire groups of people including making generalizations about ODP editors as a whole.
Antagonizing editors to website sumittors is a very accurate word to discribe what has happened in my last post regarding DMOZ.
It is not my intentsions to upset the editors of DMOZ. I simply opened up the floor to a subject that many of us have suffered through, thought about and wanting to speak out about it. That is all.
I want to apologize publicly if I have offended anyone. However it is a problem that will not just go away by itself. By speaking out like this maybe this will prompt a change as to the current operation habits of DMOZ.
If we do not talk and debate online about this, how will the message ever get out?
So maybe something good will come out of all of this in the end.
Thank You.
