Google directory category does not display with listings?

Sites in the google directory seem to dominate the top rankings. I am in the goolge directory but when my site displays in a search the directory category does not display. I wonder why and if this hurts the ranking?

Google has synchronization problems for quite some time now.

They have multiple servers with copies of the google directory (which in fact is just a copy of www.dmoz.org - most of their servers are usually quite outdated) and separate servers which hold the copy of the directory that search includes in its results.

The ODP Data is put together for download every week, Google used to fetch it about once a month. Lately I can't spot a clear schedule in what they are doing.
