Is someone screwing around with Alexa again? It seems that my sites (and other ones that I checked) are all screwed up. Anybody else notice this?

Alexa has always been buggy and screwed up.

# of backlinks they give for our site hasn't been updated in years.

Snapshots of your home page are likely from 3 years ago.

Wayback Archive is way backwards and out of date.

You can get < 50K Alexa ranking if you have access to as little as three PCs.

The associated sites they suggest are very rarely related.

Hardly anyone posts Alexa reviews for sites other than the webmasters themselves.

My experience with Alexa is that its numbers on a day-to-day basis are unreliable but over a three month period might be useful.

So basically don't bother looking at what it says you are at today, but look at the three month average.

Even then, it isn't really a hugely useful tool.
