Added to niche sub-section of DMOz = added to DMOZ proper?

Do mirrors propagate back to the main directory?

I have been added to specific categories in a nich directory. This directory seems to use DMOZ data, as it has the relevant box at the bottom. But it only shows asection of DMOZ appropriate to this niche.

Does this mean that soon I will also appear in DMOZ in the same category?

I dont think so.

Many sites download all or part of the DMOZ directory for their own use but this is ( as far as I can make out ) a strictly one way affair.

Which raises the question of how you got into it in the first place. It may be that you are already in DMOZ but not seeing it on their site yet.

No, I contacted the webmaster who then added me.

I jsut compared it with th eDMOZ listings, and it seems to be a subset.

I guess the DMOZ conmtrols at hte bottom are simple there for the DMOZ TOS and don't actauilly apply to that page :(
