I have for 4-5 days a new problem with Dmoz Directory.
I can submit the sites with not Internal Error 500 problem, but it allways says "Site Exist" :-(

Sites are absolute new and never has been submited before.

Someone know why I´m getting this? What should I do?

:-(

ODP is upgrading various things on the backend. It seems like the best thing to do is just sit tight and work on other things. There are quite a few ODP editors that post here so we'll probably know pretty quickly when everything is sorted out.

To the best of my knowledge there is one tech person that handles most everything so it may take a while given the seemingly limited resources.

At the moment, upgrades are indeed going on. I'd advise not trying to submit at all for the moment. Worst case scenario is the software will make you think the submission was accepted, but it really wasn't. It may be best to wait until it is announced the upgrade is over.

"Site exists" sounds like a feature and not a bug.

You say the site is new, but even so it is worth your while doing a search in dmoz for the url

Go to Dmoz and type your url into the search box in the form "mysite.com" (without the quotes) - which should show you if the site is already on their data base

Looks 100% like a bug.
Sites are new (Some of today/yesterday) are not in DataBase and naver has been submited.
Also if I try with a non-exist fake url it allways says "Site Exist"

This is a bug that is currently occuring in categories with special characters in the URL. It will be temporary--probably less than 2 weeks but that time frame seems to be changing a lot lately. Until it's fixed, here's one way to work around it:

1. Once you get to the category you will be submitting to, before you click on the Add Url link, look at the URL in your browser location/address bar and copy the category portion of it--that is, everything except the [dmoz.org...] portion
2. Then click on the Add Url, and look at the location bar again. In this new url, it ends with where= and the category, except the special characters in the category name are not quite right (an Apache redirect bug, apparently).
3. Remove the bad category from the url, and paste the category you copied in step 1.
4. Hit enter or click go or whatever makes it load a URL you typed in.

To know if it worked, go down the page just a short way and it will list the category. If the special characters aren't displaying correctly, then this didn't work.

Hope that helps.
