I have been trying to submit to dmoz.org for days. and i succeed to submit on June 24, 2003 time around 9pm my time (GMT +8). I think they are back normal again. I submit anther one and succeed too. and i do not change ISP or refresh or anything, so i guess it is a technical difficulty inside dmoz.

Yes, I after weeks of trying (different times, different locations) I today submitted 2 sites to the directory. (0927 UK time if anyone is interested).

Lets hope the problems are now behind them.

Stage 1 complete - now I'm on Stage 2 - camping out at resource-moan and banging my head against a brick wall ;)

Camping out at resource-zone won't get your site listed any quicker than if you forget about dmoz and go away to build more content on your site. :)

John_Caius is quite right. All RZ can tell you is whether your site is still in the queue for review, or not.

Posting there does not expedite the review of your site any quicker than if you did not post there (far be it from me to suggest it may slow down your site's review, by annoying editors with repeated posts at RZ ;) )

You just have to accept that DMOZ is free for submitters, under-funded and manned by volunteers so there is little/nothing you can do to get there any quicker.

Hi Cornwall.

To be honest, I don't post on resource-zone unless there's been no movement for a couple of months and then it's just to reasure myself that I did actually submit the site and didn't just dream it :)

I guess posting at resource-zone is like visiting somebody in a coma - you know there's no proof it'll make any difference but deep down you feel it might help :)

That is why the relevant forum there is called the Site Submission status forum, not the List My Site Now! forum.

With the submission and the edit side of the ODP going off for a few days (soon) while a major system change occurs, I would hold off posting at Resource Zone until sometime next month.
