Dmoz site submission response

Asked about site submission and got this response

Can anyone explain this in layman's terms. I recently asked for a site submission status and got this response:

Your site is waiting in the unreviewed list of that Regional//Coos_Bay/TT category. A short list.

Unfortunately, it was unreachable early Mar 2003. It is still unreachable now, from my side of the world. It's likely to be deleted by the local editor if it stays unreachable the next time it's checked.

That's funny cause the site works for me. Google hasn't had any problems caching the site either.

I know your site. It is up, I just checked. What you were told means you site is waiting in the queue, and that an editor hasn't acted on it yet. And, try accessing your site with the Anonymizer or Anonymouse if you can't get to it direct from your Malaysian ISP.

He wanted to know why an editor couldn't access the site from their Singapore ISP, rfgdxm, not that he couldn't access it himself. It makes more sense if you read the relevent thread in Resource Zone.

Malaysia is not Singapore.

Have no problem accessing your site from Singapore.

Problem with accessing from Malaysia could be due to it being blocked by the ISP. Maybe there are porn sites hosted on the same block of IP addresses and Malaysia being a muslim country is particularly strict in this aspect.

Anonymisers and open proxies may help.

Sorry about that -- wasn't paying attention to what I wrote (was looking at a Singapore category at the time). Whoops! ;-)
