I can browse through the catergories no problem, but when i hit the submit button, the system just slows to a stop and my site doesnt get submitted. No error messages or anything, the submit page just stays put.
Is this common with dmoz?

Unfortunately it is very common with DMOZ.

It tends to take about an hour these days to get one submission to take sucessfully.

Apart from mindless resubmitting, the only practical advice I can give is to have a copy of you submission, so that you can cut and paste it into another form when the previous one goes phut.

The ch.dmoz.org option does not help as submissions are referred back to dmoz.org

Yep, its taking forver but they do seem to go though after the submission page hangs for a while. Maybe it'll cut down on spam submissions and give the editors a chance to catch up:)

Out of interest, have you been able to get a clean submit yet?

How many times have you tried?

How long has it taken you to do a failed submit?

We successfully got about 20 in the day this thread was started on a broadband connection. It was a slow tedious process but they went through eventually.
