Forgive my confusion, laisha, but why not link directly to [dmoz.org...] for that? (I expect there is a reason, but I can't figure it out.)

The best reason would be that DMOZ servers lack bandwidth at the moment, so accessing them is not very easy. But it would have been better to link to the official mirror at [ch.dmoz.org...] - thats quite up to date, if the server has enough time to synchronize it should be only a day out of synch.
