Internet Yellow Pages directories

Paying for weblinks... which is best?

Has anyone paid to be listed on Switchboard.com, Smartpages.com or Yahoo Yellow Pages (to name a few)?

If your business is listed, you can pay for a weblink to your site. I'm looking at all these directories, but not sure which one to go with.

Which Internet Yellow Pages directory do you think is best?
Any suggestions?

We have never gotten much traffic from any yellow page listings.
