As per title.
Okay, I did an exactly targeted and correct submission, with no fluff whatsoever in title or description. The editor didn't change much, just added some words.
It was a cat without an own editor.
Watched the editor walking through the site, looking at all important pages, checking some links - half an hour later the listing was up and running.

Fantastic job!

afterthought: might have helped to submit on a friday night for the editor to look at it first thing on the weekend, who knows?

Uli,

with all the slagging off about Dmoz round here, its an amazing feat.

Nice to see that there is still life in Dmoz yet.

I edited 4 sites this week
3 passed
1 was spam as MANY other editors had noted.

A friend of mine edited 90 sites submitted by the same spammer and "went on vacation".

Yes, sometimes it's incredible: in December there was a page within 12 hours in ODP (no editor in this cat)! Other pages are still waiting for inclusion after months. It depends, but all in all DMOZ is a good thing. If there wouldn't be that story with the failing dump...

12 hours is pretty common in Regional if an active editor is logging on to his favourite categories daily. On very rare occasions, I've listed sites within 10 minutes of submission :).

I am a DMOZ editor, and there are no greens at all in my cat space, except for some child cats with active editors who haven't got to them yet, and are less than 30 days old. Not all of the ODP has tons of greens.

LOL - I wished I could get in like that - I have been waiting for 2+ years, submitting once every other month or so. And I have even been writting nice letters to editors, but still no luck.
But I am trying to get into a VERY Competitive, Very Commercial, VERY controversial and VERY SEO'ed category.
